Social networking sites are slowly taking over the world; we have MySpace, Face Party, Bebo and the biggest and most successful of them all, Facebook. You may remember a couple of months ago I told you about how a lot of the best bingo sites have their own social groups on Facebook with varying levels of success. Wink Bingo has taken things to a whole new and exciting level though and has launched their own in house networking site, WinkMe.

WinkMe is available to all registered Wink Bingo players and is accessible simply by logging in and clicking on the WinkMe community icon. WinkMe will open up in a new window and looks superb and well designed. The first thing you will want to do is create you own profile, you can upload a photograph, fill in all of your personal information and contact information; in fact you can pretty much do anything you have come to expect from sites such as Facebook. You profile has all of the usual security features which are a real must these days so you can choose how much of your information is available to the other members.
Once you have this set up you can build up your friends list by adding all of the people you have gotten to know so well from the bingo sites chat rooms (this includes the Chat Moderators). You can also create and join groups with likeminded players; groups already set up include the likes of ‘Sex Still Sells And Were Buying Into It!’ and ‘Bring back the 80′s’. You also have access to an internal mailing system for contacting other members.
The WinkMe home page is packed full of information split into four main categories Celeb Gossip, Health and Fitness, Top Tips and In The Kitchen. You also have horoscopes, a daily poll, live news feeds and a featured members section. Last but not least you can also use WinkMe to create teams for taking part in the Wink Bingo team bingo games.
WinkMe is a great idea and I can see it doing really well whilst building upon the great community spirit at Wink Bingo, I wonder how long it will be before other sites follow suit; not long I expect!
