Obama Bingo

We all know that next week is going to be one that goes down in history with the inauguration of the first black US President, Barack Obama and to celebrate this historic event Gala Bingo have launched Obama Bingo. Not only will Obama Bingo celebrate the inauguration but one charity will be benefiting from this online bingo sites generosity.

Obama Bingo plays every week day until 23rd January between 8pm and 9pm and weekends from 7pm until 8pm; for every pound spent on online bingo tickets during this time Gala Bingo will donate 10 pence to the Sue Ryder Care charity. This charity is well known for its help with people suffering from illnesses such as Parkinson’s, MS and Alzheimer’s.

So what is the reason behind the game of Obama Bingo? Well some of you may know that Barack Obama’s step mother is a lover of the bingo game. Kezia Obama is backing the campaign in the hope that Gala Bingo will be able to raise £1 million for this worthy cause.

Reports in the Sun newspaper says that Kezia is a “hardcore bingo fan” and visits her local bingo hall at least three times a week; who knows she may now have turned her attention to one of the many online bingo sites in favour of the land based bingo halls especially if she chooses to part in Obama Bingo.

Both myself and Bingo Bond are big fans of the charitable bingo games and Gala Bingo is not the only bingo site that offers this kind of promotion; Crown Bingo are well known for their monthly charity bingo games. It certainly gives me a warm glow to know that whilst enjoying a game or two of online bingo I am also helping a worthy cause.
