Harry’s Bingo VIP Rip Off

If you are anything like me you play at numerous bingo sites and chase the best deals and promotions. I also have a few sites that I regularly use no matter what the promotions purely because I enjoy the site and the banter. Other people stay loyal to one site though and some even have VIP status; but what exactly do you get for such loyalty? I took a look at Harry’s Bingo and I must say I was not impressed.

Harry’s Bingo already run a loyalty scheme for their ‘standard’ players but apparently they want to reward their higher wagering players with VIP status. To be a VIP player you have to wager £750 per month and if you do not wager this amount for two consecutive months you lose the status. So what exactly do you get for your £9000 per year? To be honest not a lot at all:

• Free entry into exciting promotions
• A monthly bonus based on the previous months deposits
• A monthly draw to win a prize from the Harry’s Bingo gift shop
• A VIP bonus when you deposit over £100

Does not sound a lot for £9000 a year does it? maybe the prizes in the gift shop make it good value for money? well no not really:

1. A Garden Hamper – containing things for the garden and a few tea time treats
2. Sweetheart Hamper – filled with a bottle of champagne, chocolates and a candle
3. West End Theatre and Dinner for Two – a night in London, a meal and a show
4. Haircut and Makeover with Photo shoot – You will be glammed up and have a few pics taken
5. Helicopter Flight – You will get 10 minutes in the air

Doing a quick Google on the prizes you will find you can get a makeover and photo shoot for under £100, a 10 minute helicopter flight for £39, the hampers I doubt would cost more then £30 each and even the night in London I found for £95. On top of this if you take a look at the terms if you win gift 3, 4 or 5 (the okish ones) they are only restricted to certain areas of the UK so you will need to choose another gift, the trouble is the only gifts lefts are the two hampers!

You might think I am being a bit hard on Harry’s Bingo but seriously is any of what I have described worth a £9000 investment per year? If you are going to offer players VIP status at least make a genuine effort to make them feel special.
