Foxy Bingo Does Grease

When it comes to the adverts on our television screens we all have to admit that the most memorable was produced by Foxy Bingo when we saw their mascot strutt his stuff to Lipps Inc’s hit, Funky Town. This commercial earned Foxy Bingo the number 10 spot in the AdWatch survey for the most recalled advert for 2009, something unheard of for online bingo adverts. Well Foxy is now ‘getting on down’ to a new tune – this time Foxy Bingo does Grease in the latest offering from this well known bingo brand.

Top 5 Bingo Adverts
November 20, 2009 by Bingo Spy

When it comes to advertising online bingo the operators have a multitude of platforms to choose from but of late television marketing seems to be at the forefront. Big names in the industry have taken to promoting their wares on our small screens and here we take a look at the top 5 bingo adverts currently appearing in the commercial breaks of our television viewing.
Foxy Bingo
Although previously the Foxy Bingo mascot seemed to be a little sinister and the location of shooting added to the “stalker” persona he had, a new round of marketing saw Foxy get funky as he strutted his stuff up and down the streets to the tune of ‘We are Family’ by Sister Sledge back in 2008. 2009 and the loveable Fox got even more hip with a great new campaign that saw him appear from a UFO and get his groove on to ‘Funky Town’ by Lipps Inc. Virgin Bingo
The first ever Virgin Bingo advert appeared on our screens in October 2009 and featured ‘Ricardo’, the all singing, all dancing jalapeno. For those viewers with a keen eye the resemblance to the brains behind the Virgin name can’t be missed. As bingo adverts go the Virgin Bingo one bought something a little different the online bingo advertising scene. Read our Virgin Bingo review.

Tombola Bingo
Tombola Bingo would have had our number one spot in the top 5 bingo adverts had the Advertising Standards Agency not seen fit, after one complaint, to ban the previous offering from this impressive bingo site. The first Tombola Bingo advert had everything, great animation, a catchy tune that was also relevant and more importantly, plenty of information about what the site had to offer online bingo players. However, the new Tombola Bingo advert doesn’t quite live up to its predecessor and has been likened to an advert for Saga Holidays! Read our Tombola Bingo review.

bet365 Bingo
The new bet365 Bingo advert featuring lurex clad people with bingo balls for heads is not worthy of a place in the top five; it seems to gratuitous. However, the previous offering with the bingo heads in lots of every day situations is more than worthy! Read our Bet 365 Bingo review.

888Ladies Bingo
Vic Reeves made a great name for 888Ladies Bingo when he donned his dress, make up and heals to advertise this online bingo site and is definitely deserving of a place in our top 5 bingo adverts. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of the more recent 888 Ladies Superstar campaign which saw the site lose site of the player / brand connection. Read our 888 Ladies Bingo review.

I think May Madness must be contagious as Think Bingo have gone bananas and increased their welcome bonus for new players to a whopping 400%! This has got to be one of the best offers around at the moment so you would be a fool to not take advantage of it. If you are not already registered at the site then act fast as it probably won’t be around for long. In real money this means that if you fund your account with £10 you will receive an extra £40 free which gives you £50 to play with.
Tombola Bingo Adverts Are Now Banned

I am sitting here writing this with a frown on my face after reading that two of my favourite bingo sites Television adverts have being banned by the Advertising Standards Authority. Two Tombola Bingo adverts are now banned after one person made a complaint to the ASA challenging whether their adverts appealed to children or young persons and the complaint was upheld.
Jump For Joy At Wink Bingo

I was sitting down relaxing watching television last night when the new Wink Bingo Television advert popped up on my screen and I must say it is a massive improvement over their previous campaigns and has everything a good advert needs to be a success. In the past I have found Wink Bingo adverts to be a tad boring and they really did not do the site justice but believe me when you see their new one you too will jump for joy at Wink Bingo.
Bingo Lite At Tombola Bingo

Have you seen the latest television advert for the excellent Bingo Lite at Tombola Bingo. The advert sticks to the tried and tested animated format that has proved to be a great success for Tombola in the past. Accompanied by the song Tombola sung by Spanish star Marisol the advert sees air ships flying over the Tombola Bingo theme park dropping all of their bingo characters who fall to earth on Bingo Lite parachutes. The voice over kicks in explaining you can enjoy Bingo Lite all day for just 2p per game so ‘join Tombola where the fun goes on and on’.
