Do you remember the evil Cindy Beale that terrorised her docile husband Ian for many years before becoming pregnant by another man only to do a runner and come back years later to hire a hit man to kill him before dying herself giving birth. Anyway, Michelle Collins the actress behind one of Walford most infamous characters is showing she is nothing like Cindy by posing in a dress made of bingo tickets to launch Bingo for Breakthrough.

Bingo for Breakthrough, now in its sixth year is a partnership between Breakthrough Breast Cancer and The Bingo Association which sees bingo clubs up and down the UK turning pink in support of Bingo for Breakthrough week which this year runs between the 19th and 25th October.
Michelle Collins is the face of this year’s campaign and is encouraging everyone to visit their local bingo hall and have some fun whilst showing support for the great cause. Michelle is said to be delighted to support Bingo for Breakthrough and thinks it’s a truly unique event that is raising massive amounts of money for this very important cause.
Bingo for Breakthrough has so far raised £2.75 million through fund raising in bingo clubs over the past five years and is this year aiming to burst through the £3 million barrier. All of the money raised helps to fund vital research, campaigning and educational work.
All of the clubs involved in Bingo for Breakthrough will take part in a variety in fund raising events and will be offering their members free games whilst also selling pink dabbers for just 75p, all of which goes direct to the charity.
You won’t hear us say this very often but for one day why not close down your favourite bingo sites and head down to your local bingo hall and show your support.
