For those of you that do not know, the Third Annual Online Bingo Summit has been happening in London over the past few days. This conference now in its third year was set up to bring everyone in the industry together to exchange ideas and learn from each other to ensure people are making the best decision of their business and their players.
This year’s venue was the gorgeous five star Royal Garden Hotel in London; located on Hyde Park and Kensington Palace and Gardens it was just a stones throw away from fashionable Kensington High Street – These people certainly do not do things by halves!
This Online Bingo Summit conference was filled with lively debate, hours of networking and interactive discussions, workshops, live demos and plenty of top class wining and dining at the official Bullet Business Bingo networking cocktail party.
One of the main draws this year was the Online Bingo Summit Awards 2008. Nominees were decided by a panel of seven key figures from the world of online bingo sites and was comprised of leaders from operations, affiliates, technology, associations, consultants and vendors.
The winners were decided by vote during the summit and only those that pre-registered were allowed to collect a voting card which enabled them to take part.
This year’s winners were:
- Best Newcomer – Paddy Power Bingo
- Best Online Bingo Portal – Which Bingo
- Best Marketing Campaign – Foxy Bingo
- Best Affiliate Program – Income Access
- Best Online Bingo Software – Parlay Entertainment
- Best Online Bingo Operator – Foxy Bingo
- Best Innovation – Parlay Entertainment / Bingo Bets
I must say I was really not surprised that Foxy won the Best Marketing Campaign; their use of Foxy to spearhead their superb television adverts makes them really enjoyable whilst still portraying the desired message – the perfect recipe for success.

Congratulations to everyone that won and let’s hope 2009 is an even better year for everyone in the industry. Let’s not forget though that none of this would be possible without the superb players out there because without them we would all be looking for work!
