Bingo Wings

I have recently been trying to lose weight and to be honest it is not going too badly at all. As part of the diet I joined their forum which is great for support and keeping me on the straight and narrow. The forum is largely made up of ladies and they spend most of their time discussing how to get rid of their bingo wings so I have to laugh today when one of my closest friends sent me a link to a video on YouTube.

The video is of a song called Bingo Wings and is a duet between Christopher Biggins (of Rent a Ghost and I’m a celebrity fame) and a new band called the Ruby Cupids and they are declaring that big is best. This great song is been used as part of a protest against size zero models at London Fashion Week and is released on the 15th September.

Biggins and the Ruby Cupids joined forces with 40 women of all shapes and sizes to protest outside London Fashion Week and chanted “Size Zero’s So Passé, Bingo Wings Any day”.  The stunt was used as a great way to launch the single and celebrate “the arms and charms of the larger individual” who should be proud no matter what size or shape they are.

The stunt nearly went badly wrong when the protestors nearly got themselves arrested by the police for holding an un-authorised demonstration. It took over an hour of altercations with the police and everyone was given a good ticking off and warned that they needed to register all protests in the future.

Just from a male point of view (well this male anyway), I hate size zero women, way too skinny and I would be afraid of breaking them, give me a woman with a bit of meat on the bone any day, bingo wings and all!
